Earth Day only happens once a year, but for Buttercup climate action is a year-round effort.
Part of our mission is to inspire climate-positive change in others, be it families, businesses, or individuals.
So we thought we’d share 5 things we are doing to tackle the climate crisis and build a healthier planet for future generations and the millions of species at risk.
We hope to inspire some of you to do the same! Let’s take climate action!

Educational resources for climate literacy
Climate education is key to tackling the climate crisis.
We advocate for the planet by educating young children and their families about nature and sustainability.
Our learning resources provide children with a greater understanding of nature, biodiversity and the climate – raising a generation of planet protectors!
Currently, we produce wildlife prints that encourage nature exploration!
Our online learning platform – a learning and community platform designed to educate children, families and educators about nature, biodiversity and climate literacy is in development!
British Garden Birds Print, Buttercup Learning

Our bamboo paper is a natural, sustainable and environmentally friendly white paper made from 90% bamboo fibres and 10% cotton!
A green-hosted website – built with sustainable design
At Buttercup, our website is green-hosted by Erjjio Studios – powered by 100% renewable energy. Our website content is optimised for fast loading – making it cleaner than 79% of pages (tested by Wholegrain Digital).
Why not switch to a green-hosted website provider for your business or portfolio?
We share accessible content via our blog, E-newsletter and social media pages – to educate and guide families, parents and teachers on their eco journey and help them encourage the younger generations to connect with and care for the planet.

At Buttercup, we are committed to halving emissions by 2030 – through the SME Climate Hub. If you’re a small and medium-sized business owner, why not do the same? Check out the free resources and tools available on the Hub here. We also recommend this guide for SMEs on reducing their carbon footprint and environmental impact.
It shares valuable information, including:
The benefits of being net zero as an SME
How to calculate your business’ carbon footprint
Reporting your carbon footprint
Actionable ways to reduce emissions, both as a brick-and-mortar and online SME.
