Returns Policy

Returns for our products are dealt with in two different ways. Nature Curious Subs and Gift Boxes directly through Buttercup directly and our Teemill store products: Nature prints, mugs, jigsaws, stickers and apparel through Teemill.

Buttercup Direct Products: Nature Curious Boxes

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from Buttercup Learning. If you aren’t happy with your purchase you can request to return your items within 14 days of receipt of goods by emailing

Please note that this does not include digital download products, gift cards or colouring books. These are non refundable and returnable. 

Include your order number for the physical product and a brief description of the issue and reason for the return in your email. Please expect a response within a few business days, outlining the next steps. 


If you’re not happy with your purchase, you may return it to us for a refund, subject to the following conditions:

The items must be in their original condition, unused, and with all original packaging intact or a similar protective package to ensure they are protected during transit.

We cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items in the mail, so please obtain proof of return postage.

As of now, we cannot cover the cost of returning the item to us.

All refunds will be processed to the original payment method.

Buttercup Learning cannot accept the following returns:

Items returned after 14 days.

Items that have been used, including our Nature Curious Boxes, that have been opened and written on.

Items where the branded packaging has been damaged.

Any product deemed by Buttercup Learning to be-non-re-saleable or less than perfect condition. Any item that Buttercup Learning determines is not sellable or is not in perfect condition. 

If you are shipping an item over £75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item if delivered by the postal service.

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse returns that do not comply with our returns policy. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Refunds for merchandise

In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, all refunds will be processed to the original card used for the purchase within 14 business days of receiving the return.

Please keep in mind that processing times depend on your bank.

Your refund will cover the entire cost of the returned goods, including any applicable taxes, but not the cost of original or return shipping.

Where a discount has been applied to your original order, the amount refunded will be adjusted to allow for the revised order value and appropriate discount level.

All sales and taxes will be refunded for orders that are shipped to an EU location upon receiving the returned goods. Customs fees and sales taxes are not refundable outside of the EU. Please be aware that you might be able to recover these costs by getting in touch with your local customs office directly.

Faulty items

If you receive a faulty item, please contact us within 30 days of receiving the item to notify us of the fault. You can contact us at Please include your order number, a description of the fault, and any photos or videos that may help us assess the issue.

We will provide you with instructions on how to return the faulty item to us. If we determine that the item is indeed faulty, we will offer you the choice of a refund or replacement, including any postage costs incurred in returning the item.

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method used to make the purchase.

If the item is found to be in good working order or damaged due to user error, we will return the item to you, and you will be responsible for any postage costs.

Our faulty item policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange if the item has been damaged due to misuse, neglect, or unauthorised repair.

Refunding a nature curious subscription

If you are currently on a subscription plan for our nature curious box and require a refund, please contact us at

We will charge you for the subscription box that you have already received at the rate of £20 and refund the remainder to your original payment method.

Please note that if you don’t want to receive your next subscription box, you will need to cancel before the 17th of the month.

You will always receive any boxes that you paid for before you cancelled.

Cancelling an order

If you have already paid for the order, you must email us at as soon as possible to let us know that you wish to cancel it. This needs to be done within six hours of placing the order before orders are processed.

We hope you love your order through our Teemill store, but completely understand there may be times when you need to return something.

A link to the online returns form can be found in your confirmation email receipt and your dispatch email but if you need any help, or have any questions about a return, please use the contact form to get in touch with the Teemill support team.

You may cancel your order or return your products at any time, up until the later of 14 days after you receive the products or 28 days after we dispatch them for delivery to you.

But, unless they are defective, Teemill cannot accept returns of custom products, sample orders, or any products that have been washed or worn.
